When I first started working with patents in 2013, I already had knowledge of the regulatory environment from my work in the energy sector. But patenting offered an intriguing new look at law, at technology and at the intersection of the two. Having worked with a wide variety of clients and inventions, I remain as intrigued as ever.

As a sailor, I have learned to look to my surroundings with an eye towards the future and apply my experience to make the fine adjustments needed for success. I take that same approach to patent work. Looking to understand the broader picture and goals to provide the best outcomes while paying attention to the fine details. As a US Patent Agent, I have learned that technical and legal expertise must be paired with an ability to craft concise and convincing arguments to be persuasive and thus efficient.

Having studied electrical and electronics engineering both in the US and Finland I have gained a broad base of knowledge to apply in a wide variety of patent applications. I have worked with applications in electronics, software, medical devices, renewable energy systems, power systems including networks and power electronics, to name a few.
